Reutech Digital Compass
Safety and productivity through accuracy and reliability

The Reutech Digital Compass (RDC) is a digital tilt corrected compass which enables users to seamlessly map geological structures. This device was designed with two key user considerations in mind: speed and simplicity.

The RDC provides effortless mapping of Dip and Dip Direction, or Dip and Strike at the press of a button, and at any orientation or angle without needing to level the device. Information transfer from the device to a PC application is easily done via Bluetooth.

The system enables addition of a user defined true or magnetic north correction factor to measurements taken, assuring real world measurements unique to the device location.

SIMPLE AND EASY TO USE

The Reutech Digital Compass (RDC) is designed for ease of use, with an uncomplicated push button and OLED display. The device features two display modes: dynamic and static. In dynamic mode the display updates continuously as the unit moves, while static mode shows the last measurement taken. Additionally, there are three measurement modes: Dip (D) and Dip Direction (DD) mode, Dip (D) and Strike (S) mode, and Compass mode. Measurements are taken by positioning the device against a surface and pressing the button. A single measurement is taken, tagged, and stored internally. Measurements can be taken at any angle or orientation, even if the display is not visible, with no levelling required.
